No dub for Galaxy Angel Rune?

Filed under: News — drakh @ 6:16 pm

Synch-Point has updated its blog with the announcement that they are handling the production of the North American release of Galaxy Angel Rune for Bandai Visual. It implies that the discs will be nearly identical to the Japanese, which had 2 episode per disc, and thus, like most of Bandai Visual’s other titles, will not receive a dub.

The first three seasons of the Galaxy Angel franchise were released in North America by Bandai Entertainment, with the fourth one, Galaxy Angel AA, scheduled for later this year, all featuring English voices by The Ocean Group. Galaxy Angel Rune is a spin-off featuring a new cast, though the previous cast does show up eventually.

Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting Revolution (Wii)

Fighting Spirit fans may enjoy this food for thought. Two of the Hajime no Ippo games have been imported to the US by Empire Interactive as Victorious Boxers. The first game, Ippo’s Road to Glory, came out in 2001, with little fanfare. After the TV series was brought over by Geneon, the game found a new audience digging through the bargin bins for $7. The second game, Fighting Spirit, came out earlier this year for the low price of $10 with cross-promotion for the TV series.

While there have been no announcements yet for a US release, Japanese studio AQ Interactive has released a trailer for a new Wii-based boxer game called Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting Revolution. Now, wouldn’t it be interesting to see a new Victorious Boxers game in the US where you can actually box against Ippo’s challengers?

Noein – to your other self: Volume 1 DVD

Space and time is a tricky thing. For every decision made, an infinite amount of alternate dimensions, other realities, exist, following other possible outcomes from that one simple decision. This is called “many-worlds interpretation” and is just one of many theories regarding quantum mechanics in which the world of Noein thrives. Sound complicated? It really isn’t and is just part of what is inside the heart of Noein – to your other self. Haruka Kaminogi and her friends are about to embark on a journey that will test the limits of friendship, from present day to the final stand of mankind. The fate of the future lies within a 14-year-old girl and the Dragon Torque hidden around her neck. Manga Entertainment brings director Kazuki Akane’s (The Vision of Escaflowne, Escaflowne the Movie, Heat Guy J) newest original creation to America with Noein – to your other self: Volume 1. (more…)
