VANCOUVER July 26, 2006 – David Kaye’s long and illustrious list of voice credits behind some of animation’s and video gaming’s most popular characters has just become longer and more illustrious with the addition of his first feature film, Ant Bully.

Kaye voiced 4 ant characters for the Warner Bros.’ picture, starring Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Paul Giamatti, Regina King, Bruce Campbell and Lily Tomlin, to name a few. “With star voices like these, we’ll see how many of my ants are still crawling when the movie opens on July 28th,” jokes Kaye. There must be at least one still alive as Kaye was invited by the studio to walk the red carpet at its premiere on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Kaye began his remarkable career as General Hawk on the popular G.I. Joe television series and went on to earn his voice-over fame over the years voicing such characters as Megatron from the Transformers series and Sesshomaru in Inuyasha as well as Professor Xavier on WB Kid’s animated X-Men Evolution series. Today David Kaye, arguably Canada’s top voice-over talent, is “the voice” for Fox Sports Network (FSN).

Animation series led naturally into voicing some of the most popular video games today for David Kaye. Resistance: Fall of Manâ„¢, a first-person shooter created and developed by Insomniac Games, is an exclusive launch title for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system®. The game features a unique blend of heavy military action and unnerving horror elements, set in a believable alternate 20th century reality. Kaye will voice the role of U.S. Army Sgt. Nathan Hale, the game’s main protagonist.

Kaye got to voice an even larger role for Insomniac Games in Ratchet: Deadlockedâ„¢, the latest installment of the popular Ratchet & Clankâ„¢ franchise for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system®. Kaye reprised his role of Ratchet’s ever-witty and resourceful sidekick, Clank. Kaye also did double duty on EA’s “Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects”, voicing both Iron Man and Wolverine. It was a chance of-a-lifetime for David Kaye as the story was done by none other than Marvel Comic’s legendary writer, Mark Millar. Kaye: “Mark’s gotta be one of my favorite comic book writers of all time. I just had to do this game, no matter what. I’ve played the game and it looks great! Jae Lee’s character designs are awesome. I’m telling you it was a blast to record these characters, especially Wolverine, a Canadian Mutant Hero.” Kaye then got the chance to once again voice his favorite childhood hero when he was hired to do Ironman in the new animated TV series, “Fantastic Four”.

Coming out soon is an on-screen role for David Kaye as Joan Cusack’s husband in New Line Cinema’s Martian Child.
