Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek is October’s Halloween Treat
Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek and Patlabor The Mobile Police: The New Files DVD Collection to be priced at only $19.95 SRP and $ 29.95 SRP, respectively.
New York, NY (August 2, 2005) Halloween comes early this year as Central Park Media’s October release of Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek on DVD will be available for only $19.95 SRP. Everyone understands the innocent game of Hide & Seek, but in Kakurenbo-Hide and Seek, the game is not so innocent as a group of kids play against demons that want to do more than win. The anime short film has already received the Best Film Nomination at Seoul Comics and Animation Festival 2005, was a Tokyo Anime Fair 2005 winner, and was recently awarded the golden prize (top prize) for the Best Short Film at the Fantasia Film Festival 2005. In anticipation of its upcoming release in October, Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek has already been screened at such noteworthy conventions as Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-con and received an impressive response. With three awards under its belt and outstanding convention praise, Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek will be the Halloween movie to see.
Also available will be Patlabor The Mobile Police: The New Files DVD Collection. Fans can continue to enjoy the classic adventures of Noa and Alphonse in this latest edition of Patlabor The Mobile Police. This DVD Collection, containing all sixteen episodes, comes in a three-disc set and for a price of $29.95 SRP, it’s a DVD deal that will not be beat.
Kakurenbo-Hide & Seek will contain English and Japanese with English subtitles, while Patlabor The Mobile Police: The New Files DVD Collection will contain English and Japanese with English subtitles on the first disc and Japanese with English subtitles on the last two discs. Both will have a preorder date of September 13, 2005 and street date of October 11, 2005.
