Trailers And TV Spots Currently Available, With Plans To Release Behind-The Scenes Footage
And Sneak Previews Exclusive To Podcasts
Following its recent success in the portable community with the release of its anime titles on UMD, Geneon Entertainment signals its ongoing commitment to the cutting-edge of consumer technology with its expansion into the ever-growing world of podcasting. Currently featuring trailers and television commercials that include the wildly popular superhero series Viewtiful Joe and the hard-edged, gritty samurai series Samurai Champloo, Geneon Entertainment will be adding three new podcast streams each week on iTunes, and will soon expand the content to include behind-the-scenes features, sneak previews and exclusive footage only available through the podcast.
“The success of our anime titles on others portable formats, such as the PSP, has proven that our fan base is technologically adept and hungry for us to expand our content into other venues,” said Yosuke Kobayashi, President/CEO, Geneon Entertainment. “This is a great opportunity to plug fans directly into the information pipeline with an automatic showcase of exciting new anime properties. We’re thrilled to be able to serve the devoted anime community by keeping up with the latest technologies.”
Differing from a normal download or real-time streaming by offering new content automatically delivered to subscribers, the company’s podcasts are currently available at iTunes by searching for Geneon Entertainment.
